Xenia and Greene County Partners in Economic Development

Xenia was awarded the coveted designation as a Red Carnation Community, the Ohio Development Association's honor, for outstanding economic development efforts. This award is acclaimed throughout the state and beyond as recognition of a community highly motivated in attracting and expanding businesses, as well as improving the entire community.
The City of Xenia also received the President's Award (awarded only twice in five years),which recognizes exceptional economic development achievement involving the entire community. The partnerships between the Xenia Schools and businesses have benefited students and encourage higher student achievement. The cooperation between the City and businesses created a growth awareness aiding expanding businesses and attracted new businesses.
