On May 30, 2008, the Board of Directors of the Xenia Area Chamber of Commerce unanimously voted to oppose a proposed Ohio constitutional amendment that mandates paid sick leave. Signatures are currently being collected by supporters of this amendment, which is misleadingly named the “Healthy Families” Act, in order to place it on the November ballot.
Board approves transition to a new split-experience rating plan; reduces max group discount
The Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation (BWC) Board of Directors today unanimously approved a five-percent overall premium rate decrease for private employers, effective July 1, 2008. The reduction is the first premium rate decrease for Ohio’s private employers since 2001.
